Consortium for Embedded Systems Internship
A core aspect of CES’s mission is to provide education and training to prepare undergraduate and graduate students for absorption into industry.
The CES internship program provides real-world work experience in embedded systems for undergraduate and graduate students. The undergraduate students can utilize the internship to earn academic credit towards their B.S.E. degree. Students are compensated from industry members for their efforts, and gain critical experience in industrial work environments without interrupting their education.
CES faculty offer courses addressing embedded hardware, system software and applications.
- The hardware related courses include advanced IC design, synthesis and formal verification of digital systems, low power processor architectures and hardware/ software co-design.
- Embedded system software courses include compilers, software for real time embedded systems, distributed and multiprocessor operating systems and courses in embedded systems security.
- CES faculty also offer a wide range of courses in computer networks covering quality of service, network reliability, sensor networks and wireless and mobile ad hoc networks.
In collaboration with the Center for Professional Development at ASU, CES faculty offer an on-line program tailored for industry professionals leading to the Master of Engineering degree in Embedded Systems. CES faculty also offer on-site short courses for its industrial members.
